Greetings from America

Many of you know me from my books and Militaria Magazine. I am always very interested to see the things you find over in Europe from the AEF. I am especially jelous of those that go digging in the battlefield.

I will apologize here for my poor French - so when (not if) I use a translator and it says something bizzare kindly forgive me. It is sometimes hard for me to understand the questions (and answers) so I will try not to comment oo much as I don't want to repeat what others say. But of course you can always sell or trade me things dug up. Especially 29th Infantry Regiment or 28th Yankee Division items.

I will not say too much but my next big project is on the AEF. I would hope that some of you might be willing to help with photos of things.

Bon nombre d'entre vous me connaissent de mes livres et magazine de Militaria. Je suis toujours très intéressé de voir les choses que vous trouvez plus d'en Europe de l'AEF. Je suis particulièrement jelous de ceux qui vont creuser dans le champ de bataille. Je ferai des excuses ici pour mon pauvre Français ainsi quand (pas si) j'utilise un traducteur et il indique que quelque chose le bizzare me pardonnent avec bonté. Mais naturellement vous pouvez toujours me vendre ou commercer des choses creusées vers le haut. Particulièrement 29ème régiment d'infanterie ou 28èmes articles de Division de Yankee. Je ne dirai pas trop mais mon prochain grand projet est sur l'AEF. J'espérerais que vous pourriez être disposé à aider avec des photos des choses.

Just for fun I must mention I live in the town where the LONG COMPANY that made a lot of webbing was. About 1/2 K from my house. The buildings are torn down now. And to the other side is the parade ground of one of the Yankee Division Guard units. So there is some WW1 History over here as well.

then we all have a little part of our town at home!!!!!

Hi jgawne. Dont worry for your french, it wouldn't be worst than mine. I think most of members would understand a little english, at least keywords, so you can use them in original language. Be careful with babelfish, it's a damn trap. You can use it most as dictionary of common words but you have to pay a little attention to grammar. Welcome on board
